Solving another quiz
Tonight I visited Mr. Tan's blog and try another quiz here.
Yesterday I managed to solve the quiz with the help of color coded cells in Excel spreadsheet, and today I try something simpler: Windows Notepad.
Since Notepad doesn't come in colors, I use numbers to annotate the relationship between two items or more. The annotation number corresponds to the number of given hints.
The screenshot explains how I did it. BTW, it's solved in 21 minutes.

Solving a quiz
I'm about going to bed tonight when I saw there's an email from Indi Soemardjan. He's forwarding a quiz that shown on Mr. Tan's blog here.
Without looking at the original Mr. Tan's blog posting, once I read the quiz I run MS Excel and start putting all the facts on the cells. Cells with same text color of background indicates they have relationship as stated in the fact points. Cells with bold text indicate absolute position and can't be moved.
If you don't understand what I am talking about, see the quiz yourself and see how I solve it by trial and error with Excel's help on the attached screenshot. It took 26 minutes, probably not the fastest but at least I am honest :)

Moon Over Singapore
It's been a while since my last Singapore CBD area night shot. This one was taken around 3 years ago. Certainly I have a more recent shot that shows new buildings.
Stay tuned!

Sailing with Blue Eagle
It's an exciting experience to sail the southern part of Singapore on Bue Eagle, a classic two masted ketch, 37 feet long overall. It got five berths in two cabins with toilet cabin, galley and cold chest.
The ship is constructed in fibreglass and finished in teak.
In this trip I really learnt a lot from Skipper Derek Mazzone who has more than 20 years sailing experience and 10 years experience as sailing instructor.
Please visit Blue Eagle website on:

Skipper: Derek Mazzone
Team: Indi, Ahmad Kiki, Piotr, Barbara, Michael, Francis.

Masjid Sultan (Sultan Mosque)
This photo is an example why I like my Canon EFs 10-22mm lens so much. Everyone who's been to this location knows that there's not enough shooting space to fit the whole building into a single frame.
Some people may not like the distortion effect that very obvious especially on the foreground fences. However, I don't intend to make any correction. I just like it this way.

Half
Do you see this entrance as half opened or half closed?
When I decided to take part in the photographic exhibition organized by Ngee Ann Cultural Centre, this is the first picture that I wanted to show. It's not the first time I have my picture published in exhibition but it's my first attempt to put a price for my picture in public event.
Now you can guess what's my view: half opened or half closed?
Exhibition Venue:
Ngee Ann Exhibition Hall, Ngee Ann Cultural Centre
97 Tank Rd, Teochew Building
Date of exhibition: 23 March 2007 till 8 April 2007

Harbour Park Sunset
This lighthouse in Langkawi is not functioning. But at least it makes this picture more interesting than without it.
The leaves on the left purposely included as a frame to the main scene.
Everytime I take picture, I realize that everything is there for a purpose.
